For one of our customers, we recently built custom racing wheel washers that they had designed themselves. They had a race coming up the following weekend, and we were able to deliver them quickly so they could be installed for the race.

Machined parts for race cars and more

Jay Shuler, owner of HPF Racing and Brain Child, does a lot of contract engineering work and designs components for race teams in northern Illinois. He comes to us for both of his companies to handle the larger volume manufacturing and production work, as well as for jobs that require a fast turnaround, which is often the case in the racing world.

For the custom racing wheel spacers project, Jay’s racing friend needed wheel washers for a new type of competition wheel. His current washers didn’t fit the new wheels and weren’t working properly. To solve the problem Jay designed a new type of wheel spacer and asked us to make them. His friend had a race that weekend and needed them completed very quickly. Our team was able to turn around the project in time for the race – just two days from request to delivery.
